Dear Mr. Davis:

The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.150 to the Yankee Atomic

~ Electric Company Possession Only License (POL) No. DPR-3 for the Yankee Nuclear Power i Station. This amendment is in response to your application dated August 20,1998.

I 1This amendment revises the POL through three changes to the Technical Specifications

- (TS) by:- (1) deletion of the definition of SITE BOUNDARY, (2) moving the Site Boundary and Plant Exclusion Area map from the TS to the Final Safety Analysis Report and (3)

. Deletion of TS 5.1.1- EXCLUSION AREA.

A copy of the safety evaluation supporting' Amendment No.150 is also enclosed.

Notice of issuance will be included in the Commission's biweekly FederalRegister Notice.
