Yankee Atomic Electric Company (YAEC) submits Revision 09 to l the Security Plan for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (YNPS). The proposed Plan changes specifically reflect that l YNPS is permanently shutdown, defueled, proceeding with i decommissioning activities, and continues to provide protection against radiological sabotage.

l The significant changes within Revision 09 are ,

e Redesignation of Security patrol routes for areas  !

undergoing decommissioning and dismantlement.

e Removing the specifications for designation of Industrial Area lighting.  !

e Yankee Atomic Electric Company and Yankee Nuclear Power Station organizational changes.

l e Redefining the Industrial Area Boundary to meet l future decommissioning needs.

• Removing the requirement to change or rotate security locks and cores on an annual basis.

Proposed Revision 09 of the YNPS Security Plan has been reviewed by the Plant Operations Review Committee (PORC) and determined to meet the changes allowed under 50.54 (p).

Attachment A explains the changes. Attachment B contains
