ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO.14 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. R 97 GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (TAC NO. MA2363)

Dear Dr. Hertel:

The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.14 to Facility Operating License No. R-97 for the Georgia Tech Research Reactor (GTRR). The amendment authorizes decommissioning of the GTRR pursuant to 10 CFR 50.82(b) in accordance with the decommissioning plan as presented in letters dated July 1,1998 and February 8, and May 28,1999.

A copy of the related safety evaluation supporting Amendment No.14 is also included.
