SUBJECT: DAVIS-BESSE INSPECTION REPORT 50-346/99001(CRP)
Deat Mr. Campbell:
On February 12,1999, the NRC completed an inspection at the Davis-Besse site. The
enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
Overall, plant activities were characterized by conservative decision making and execution. I
For example, engineering personnel aggressively pursued the source of a smal. component
cooling water system leak and plant management conservatively decided to isolate letdown
system cooler 1-1 when it was determined that one of its rupture discs was the source of the
