'BNL Technical Assistance to the Division of Engineering, NRR, NRC " Reliability and Probabilistic Assessments for Fire Events" (A3710)

The enclosed NRC Form 173, Standard Order for DOE Work, is hereby submitted in accordance with Section III.B.2 of the DOE /NRC Memoranduarof-Understaridtng, dated February 24, 1978.

Funding authorizations in the amount of $144,000 have been provided to date for this project. We find your proposal dated January 4, 1984 to be generally acceptable with the following change. Task 1 of Project II should be for eight man months not nine man months. This will reduce the total program effort by one man month. These changes have been discussed with J. Boccio and A. Romano, BNL on February 7,1984. Please provide a revised proposal -

incorporating these changes. Incremental funding in the amount of

$40,000 is provided herein for continuation of the work. Additional funds will be provided upon receipt of an acceptable proposal.
