General Records Schedule and NRC Bulletin 1401-3, " Standard NRC File System for Records of Work Performed Under DOE /NRC Memorandum of Understanding", require that each Office maintain an official file of administrative documents and records pertinent to work performed by 00E/ National Laboratories for each project (FIN). The Technical Support Branch, NRR, has-physical-responsibility-for-maintaining these-files.-- '~

However, you, as Project Manager, are responsible for ensuring that all portinent administrative information and documents are provided to the official project file from the point of initiation through final closecut action. -

A recent review of the official file for the project noted above revealed that the documents noted below appear to be missing. Please forward these documents to me along with a copy of this note as soon as practicable.

Also, please forward any other documents that TSB would not normally receive such as correspondence that you or the National Lab have sent.

Unless otherwise noted below, we ~usually have copies of outgoing documents associated with the processing of an NRC Form 173, accounting documents and monthly business letter reports. For your information, on the reverse side of this note is a copy.of an NRC Form 385 that lists the .

type of documents that need to be included in the official project file.
