A. Revise Task 2 to read as follows:

Task 2: Analysis of PRA .

For each plant PRA study, conduct Subtasks (a). through (d).

Subtask a) Review of PRA Determine the event sequences with significant contribution to core melt frequency and measures of frequency of release and risk.

Use' this information to:

1) rank these sequences according to their contribution to each of

.-the-above measures,

11) rank plant systems according to their contribution; and iii) whenever possible, rank major system components according to their contribution.

This process can be a'ided by determining logic mode s for each sequence, using sequence cut sets information or by constructing sequence fault treds and deducing cut sets. Proper level of detail is to be used by the analyst.

Subtask b) Sensitivity Analysis Use the methodology from Task 1 to determine the importance of systems and component unavailability. Rank plant systems (and components) according to their importance.

Subtaskc) Analysis of the Results .

Eval'uate results of subtasks "a" and "b" and provide insights about special . plant features (sequences, systems, components) relevant to core melt frequency or plant risk.

Subtask d) Reporting of Results A brief letter report will .be written giving the results of the sensitivity analysis. -

Task 3: Interim Comparative Analysis and Insights Documents Group the analyzed plants according to plant type (e.g., w/PWR's B&W PWR's, BWR Mark X ....) conduct comparative analysis within each group and whenever possible conduct inter-group comparison. Results of the comparative analysis and drawn insights should be provided on.
