This order accepts the BNL proposal dated March 2,1983 as modified in the atttached modification, changes the period of' performance as noted above, provides incremental funds for initiation of work, and requests a revised proposal be submitted within 30 days to E. Pentecost, DE/NRR with a copy provided to B. L. Grenier, PPAS/NRR.
After acceptance, please send to the NRC Office of Resource Management, ATTN: D. Dandois, and provide a copy to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, ATTN: C. Paugh.

Modify the. level of effort for the following task:
Task 1~
Subtask a. Level of effort on this task should be reduced by 50% as knowledge gained from some recent efforts can be applied to this task. This has been discussed with and agreed to by Morris Reich of BNL.
Modify / add'the following task:
Task 2 ,
Subtask e RAS programs / users mannuals will be updated in conformance with ANSI standard N413-1974.
Subtask e and f "All code. development and submission of software to the NRC under this agreement shall conform to the attached Scientific Software Develpment and Submittal Requirements for NRC Contractors."
(Note: The above two modifications provide additional guidelines for documentation and increase in the level of effort is not anticipated.)
Subtask g - Modify limit states for concrete containment and shear wall structures beyond yield limits for use in PRA analysis.
