u UNIT SHUTDOWN AND POWER REDUCTIONS EXPLANATION SHEET DOCKET NO. 50-338 REPORT MONTH JANUARY UNIT NAME NA-1 YEAR 1986 DATE 02-03-86 COMPLETED BY Brenda Garner 85-25 (1) Continuation from December 1985, when Unit was taken off line due to Thermo Couple Cono-Seal on the reactor head. Repairs were made and on January 17, 1986, at 0715 the Unit returned on line.

86-01 (2) On January 18, 1986, at 2349 Unit was taken off line to perform Turbine Overspeed Trip Test.

86-02 (3) On Jrtuary 19, 1986, at 0130, Reactor tripped due to first stage 1 pressure spike during the Turbine Overspeed Testing. The 1 Turbine o'c erspeed Trip Test was completed. Unit returned on line J nuary 19, 1986, at 0627. Post refueling fuel l

conditioning and flux mapping were performed. On January 21,

.l 1986, at 2232 the Unit was stabilized at 100% power.
