Letter, R. L. Mittl to A. Schwencer, dated September 28, 1984.

Gentlemen:

This inspection program will be implemented at the first refueling outage. It will include inspection of the entire surface of the valve bodies, both internal and external, by surface or other examination technique acceptable to the staff.

The augmented inspection program will be further described in the ISI program for Hope Creek. The ISI program will be submitted for NRC evaluation six months after commercial operation. This commitment supersedes the position taken by PSE&G in the referenced letter, and is considered by PSE&G to be sufficient to close out SER outstanding Issue No. 4, unless notified otherwise.
