On behalf of our clients, Mr. Terry Howard and Ms. Sharon Morella, and pursuant to both the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. 3552) and the Privacy Act (5 U.S.C. 5552a), we request copies of all informal staff memoranda, notes, telephone logs, tapes, diaries and/or other records prepared by the Nuclear Reactor Regulation staff reviewing the C.F. Braun audit of the INAC system at the LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant. Specifically, any memoranda, logs, or comments between Mr. Harold Denton, Mr. Daryl Eisenhaut, Mr. Tom Novack and other staff. Any other individuals who were pulled together to evaluate the Braun study,known or unknown to GAP,should be considered under this request.

If any material covered by this request has been destroyed and/or removed, please provide all surrounding documentation, including but not limited to a description of the action (s) taken, relevant date (s), and justification for the action (s) .

Mr. Howard and Ms. Morella request that fees be waived, because " finding the information can be considered as primarily benefitting the general public."

We are requesting the above information on behalf of our clients for a monitoring project on the adequacy of the NRC's efforts to protect public safety and health at nuclear power plants.

For any documents or portions of documents that you deny due to a specific exemption, please provide an index itemining and describing the documents or portions of documents withheld. The index should provide a detailed justification of your grounds for claiming each exemption, explaining why each exemption is relevant to the document or portion withheld. This index is required under yaughn v. Rosen (I), 484 F.2d 820 (D.C. Cir. 1973), cert. denied, 415 U.S. 977 (1974).
