We regret to advise you that Houston Lighting & Power Company has decided to cancel the Allens Creek Nuclear Generating Station (ACNGS). The decision was announced yesterday in proceedings before the Texas Public Utilities Commission.

We plan to discuss with the NRC Staff alternative dispositions of the ACNGS application. We will advise you within the next 30-45 days of our proposed disposition in the form of appropriate pleadings pursuant to 10 CFR Part 2.
