10 CFR 73.21(d)(2) concerning storage

of Unclassified Safeguards Information In order to be in compliance with the published change to 10 CFR 73.21, and after reviewing the definition for " Security Storage Container",
it is EL&P's interpretation that a GSA approved centainer will be required to store Safeguards Information after January 20, 1982.
Inasmuch as GSA approved containers have been requisitioned but with an earliest possible delivery date of on or about March 15, 1982, EL&P respectfully regrests a vaiver to the portion of the ruin requiring the upgraded security containers until they are received. All Safeguards Information will be secured under lock and key within the Security Ditision during the interim period.
iiL&P will notify the commission gun receipt of the containers at which tine co=pliance with 10 CFR 73.21 vill have been achieved.
