Dear Chairman Smith:

On March 24, 1981, Intervenor Marjorie Aamodt had served /

a motion entitled " Request for Clarification of Transcript 2/11/81 through 2/18/81 re Examinations of Control Room Personnel." In this motion, Mrs. Aamodt asserts that "[a] fter careful study of the transcript, it is not possible to summarize the results of the (Kelly (PQS)] tests with any certainty." Licensee disagrees.

Nevertheless, in order to ensure for the Board and parties a clear record on this subject which was discussed on several

13212-18, Licensee has compiled this information into one table of data, a copy of which is attached.

It is Licensee's view that by incorporation of the attached Table into the record, the Board and parties will have at one location compiled data on the results of examinations administered to licensed operators and trainees upon completion of the Operator Accelerated Retraining Program ('OARP). We have enclosed for this purpose the Affidavit of Mr. Samuel Newton, one of Licensee's prior witnesses on training, attesting to the accuracy of the Table. Because this Table is provided to summarize prior testimony already subject to lengthy cross-examination, Licensee does not propose to recall witnesses on this subject and proposes that the Table be accepted as a Board or Licensee exhibit in the interest of clarifying the record.
