2) S H Howell letter to J G Keppler; Midland Nuclear Plant; Unit No 1, Docket No 50-329; Unit No 2, Docket No 50-330; Reactor Building Spray Piping Supports; Serial Hove-272-79; dated October 19, 1979 Reference 1 had been submitted as a final report on the subject of the Reactor Building Spray Piping Supports. Subsequent to that report , it was determined that six ring girder supports in Unit 2 had not been installed in accordance with their design drawings. Reference 2 reopened the 50.55(e) report concerning the analysis of the spray piping supports based on their actual configuration. This let+c is our final report on this subj ect.

ITT Grinnell has completed their analysis of the as-installed configuration of the six supports and has determined that the stresses are within Code allowables. The Grinnell analysis and the plant drawings have been recon-ciled with the actual hardware and the plant is now in conformance with design requirements.
