Letter, J W Cook to J G Keppler, 50.55(e) Report 86-01 #1, Serial 32575, dated February 14, 1986 On January 21, 1986 Consumers Power Company (CPCo) verbally notified your staff of a potentially reportable condition concerning'a computer analysis program.

In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.55(e), an interin report was submitted by the referenced letter.

Description of Concern This letter submits Interim Report No 2.

Additional information has been recently received from Bechtel Power Corporation as to other computer programs that have-error reports associated with them that have been utilized in the Midland design. The programs affected are listed in the attached-Bechtel Inter-Office Memorandum.

It has not been determined that the design

. analysis performed for Midland is affected by these reports, but there is a potential to affect the project design.

Corrective Action Corrective actions will not be pursued and no further reports on this subject i
