This is in response to your letter dated August 8,1985, requesting an extension until January 31, 1986, for submittal of the fundamental nuclear material control plan required by 74.31(b)(1).

We have determined that the granting of your request will not adversely affect the common defense and security nor the public health and safety and is otherwise in the public interest. Accordingly, we are adding the following unnumbered license condition to Amendment SG-1 to your License No. SNM-1097, effective immediately, to read as follows:

Notwithstanding the requirement of 10 CFR 74.31(b)(1) to submit a fundamental nuclear material control plan no later than August 26, 1985, which describes system capabilities to meet the general performance objectives of 74.31(a), the licensee is granted an extensica until January 31, 1986, for submittal of the required plan.
