REQUEST FOR TIME EXTENSION TO DISTRIBUTE THE MATERIAL STATUS REPORTS OF THE PHYSICAL INVENTORY (TAC NO. L31108)

Dear Mr. Murray:

In accordance with your correspondence dated August 28,1998, and pursuant to Part 70 to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Materials License SNM-1097 is hereby amended to j allow a time extension for distributing the material status reports of the July 1998, physical inventory. Accordingly, a temporary Safeguards License Condition SG-1.5 is being issued, l effective immediately, and reads as follows:

SG-1.5 Notwithstanding the commitment, in Section 9.3.6 of the FNMC Plan identified in Condition SG-1.1, to distribute the material status reports within 30 days after the start of the physical inventory, the licensee shall have 15 additional days to fulfill the above stated commitment relative to the July 1998, physicalinventory. This condition automatically expires on September 15,1998.

The condition is approved pursuant to 10 CFR 70.34 and 75.35(b) based on our determination that, in view of the specific circumstances, the additional time requested was justified and warranted. i All other conditions to this license remain the same.
