The enclosures to this letter are two Teledyne Engineering Services (TES) reports fer your review. Enclosure 1 is a revision of a report previoualy transmitted by Reference 3. The revision was made to a) correct typographical errors and b) to further clari fy the actual locations of hardness testing done by TES. Ene]osure 2 is an original submittal.

Revision 1 is submitted because Revision 0 of this document did not address Teledyne's evcluation of the third stud failure.

At the rcquent of the Office of Huclear Reactor Regulation, the distributicn of reports on this subject to Mr Stello is being increased by 23 copies to 38 copies.

Another report , either interim or final, will be sent on or before August 1, 1980.
