Enclosed are two bound copies and two CDs of the final plant-specific Supplement 59 to NUREG-1437, Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants (GElS), regarding the renewal of operating license NPF-38 for an additional 20 years of operation for Waterford 3.
The final Supplement 59 to the GEIS was submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) via e-NEPA on November 19, 2018, and copies were mailed or e-mailed to interested Federal, State, Tribal, and local agencies, industry organizations, interested groups, and members of the public. A copy of this document has also been placed in the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) Public Document Room, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland 20852, and in the NRC Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible on the NRCs website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The ADAMS accession number for the final Supplement 59 to the GEIS is ML18323A103.
Additionally, enclosed are NRCs responses to EPAs recommendations that were provided by letter dated October 9, 2018, during the public comment period on the draft Supplement 59 to the GEIS. These responses can also be found in Appendix A of Supplement 59.
