LER No.: 50-366/1982-057 Licensee: Georgia Power Company Facility: Edwin I. Hatch-Docket No.: 50-366 Narrative Report for LER 50-366/1982-057 On May 27, 1982, while the plant was making power changes from 939 MWt, and while inerting primary containment, 2P33-P001B, Primary Containment Hydrogen and Oxygen Analyzer was found inoperative. Technical Specifi-cations Table 3.3.6.4-1 requires two operable channels.1This requirement was not met. Plant operation was placed in a thirty-day LC0. The public health and safety was not affected by this event. This event was repeti -

a tive as last reported on Reportable Occurrence Report.No. 50-366/1982-007.

The cause of this event'has been attributed to component failure. The 4

analyzer internal ~ sampling flow components failed to maintain sample flow I

constant. The upper and lower sample pump head, valve disc 0 rings were i

replaced as well as the lower sample pump head, valve disc itself. Also replaced were sample pressure regulators one and two. The analyzer was then calibrated per HNP-2-3882, Comsip Delphi Hydrogen and Oxygen Analyzer

{ Functional Test and Calibration, and'.then immediately. returned to service.
