Dear Commissioner:

The rate relief requested by General Public Utilities lies in your power and influence and as a Stockholder, I urge you to expedite matters towards positive action to increase the energy costs.

Our regular quarterly Dividends will not be isstad in order to conserve cash and credit resources and to preserve the financial integrity of General Public Utilities. I agree, it is a prudent decision.

Please, consider this a personal request to assist me and my family and relatives, who are, also, Stockholders and 72 to 75 years old and depend on the Dividends to eke out a pleas-ant living.

I do not agree that Bankruptcy action would serve the inter-est of the Stockholders, insolvency is not in anybody's best interest. This is a unique case, the trauma was not caused by mismanagement, but by a power beyond man's control.

Thank you for whatever personal efforts and influence, as a Commissioner, you may exert and trust you are in good health.
