This is an interim I report submitted for a potentially reportable condition under the provisions of10CFR50.55(e). Our last report, TXX-6432, was submitted on May 6, 1987.

'We are continuing our evaluation of the impact of this issue on the safety of plant operations.

Our next report will be submitted no later than October 23, 1987.
