SHL'TDOWN TO REPAIR LEAKING VALVE On February 22, 1988, with the unit operating at approximately 100 percent power, the d[ywell floor drain sump instrumentation detected an unidentified leakageincreasefrom2.5gallonsperminute(gpm)to4.6gpm.

The licensee gduped '# owe'r'? t Vo a' bout A tercent and made a drywell entry to investigate the cause of the Teakage. The lict"-a f ound a body to bonnet leak on a feedwater maintenance isolation valve.

The licensee then comenced an orderly shutdun to repair the leak. Cold shutdown was achieved at 11:10 p.m. (EST) February 22, 1088. The licensee estimates the unit will be shut down for at least three dcys.

Region 111(Chicago)isfollowingthelicensee'scourseofaction. 1 The State of Ohio will be notified.
