The licensee's current schedule ~ calls for completion of system walkdowns, tests, and evaluations at the 55 percent power level on April 11, 1987, and for notification of

. Region III (Chicago) at that time of the plant's readiness to proceed to the next power

~p lattau of 80 percent.

' The unit completed its testing activities at the 30 percent level on April 5,1987, and,'

with the concurrence of Region III, increased power to 45 percent for further testing and I review. . Power was held at 45 percent for repair of a valve in the cooling tower system and

. a cil flow problem in a main feedwater pump bearing.

An augmented NRC inspection team is continuing to monitor the plant's startup and testing

-program.
