Serial No.: 21-212 Page 1 of 2 Enclosure CURRENT LICENSING BASIS CHANGE THAT IMPACTS THE SLRA FIRST 10 CFR 54.21 (b) ANNUAL AMENDMENT Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion Energy Virginia or Dominion)

North Anna Power Station Units 1 and 2

Serial No.: 21-212 Docket Nos.: 50-338/339 Enclosure - Page 2 of 2 CURRENT LICENSING BASIS CHANGE THAT IMPACTS THE SLRA FIRST 10 CFR 54.21 {b) ANNUAL AMENDMENT By letter dated August 24, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20246G697), Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion Energy Virginia or Dominion) submitted an application for the subsequent license renewal of Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-4 and NPF-7 for North Anna Power Station (NAPS) Units 1 and 2, respectively.

10 CFR 54.21(b) requires Dominion to report changes to the current licensing basis (CLB) that materially affect the contents of the subsequent license renewal application (SLRA), including the UFSAR supplement. These changes are required to be submitted each year and at least 3 months prior to the scheduled completion of the SLRA review by the NRG.

Dominion completed the annual review and concluded the following modification materially affects the contents of the NAPS SLRA and requires the SLRA to be supplemented:

Modification A modification was implemented to remove the RCP oil collection tank sight glasses from Unit 1 and Unit 2. There are no other sight glasses in the reactor coolant system that are subject to aging management review.

Therefore, with this submittal, the NAPS SLRA is amended as follows:

  • Reactor Coolant Screening Result Table 2.3.1-3 and Aging Management Result Table 3.1.2-3 are revised to delete the line items for the component types 'Sight glass' and 'Sight glass (body)'.
  • Table 3.2.1 item 060 is revised to read as follows in the discussion column:

"Consistent with NUREG-2191."

  • Table 3.3.1 item 119 is revised to read as follows in the discussion column:

"Consistent with NUREG-2191. In addition to Auxiliary Systems, components in Steam and Power Conversion System (lubricating oil) are aligned to this item."

The above changes have no impact on aging management programs proposed in the NAPS SLRA for the reactor coolant system.
