SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (SLRA)

REQUEST FOR CONFIRMATION OF INFORMATION (RCI)

- SET 2 Regulatory Basis:

Pursuant to 10 CFR 54.21(c), the SLRA shall include an evaluation of time-limited aging analyses (TLAAs). The applicant shall demonstrate that (i) the analyses remain valid for the period of extended operation; (ii) the analyses have been projected to the end of the period of extended operation; or (iii) the effects of aging on the intended function(s) will be adequately managed for the period of extended operation.

Description Dominion Energy's Response 4.7.6-A Section 4.7.6 of the subsequent license renewal application (SLRA) describes the time limited aging analyses (TLAA) for the reactor coolant pump casing as related to the ASME Code Case N-481. The TLAA aspects of the analysis are the thermal aging of CASS and fatigue crack growth.

This section references WCAP-18503-P for the plant-specific loadings for the reactor coolant pump casing. The SLRA references Revision 1, of WCAP-18503, Resolution of North Anna Power Station Units 1 & 2 Time-Limited Aging Analyses for Subsequent License Renewal, dated July 2020.

Revision 2 of WCAP-18503-P, (Proprietary), Resolution of North Anna Power Station Units 1 & 2 Time-Limited Aging Analyses for Subsequent License Renewal, dated September 2021, was provided on the ePortal.

Confirm that Revision 2 of WCAP-18503-P supersedes Revision 1 and is the analysis of record for the SLRA.
