Enclosed is a copy of Revision IV to the Security Plan for the U.S. Geological Survey TRIGA Reactor Facility. This plan was revised under the provisions.of 30 CFR 50.54(p)(2). The proposed revisions were reviewed by our Reactor Operations Committee and found to not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of plan. In accordance with the requirements of 50.54(p)(2),-we are submitting ' these . changes to your of fice for review. This document is proprietary information and should be withheld from public disclosure.
The changes to the plan are indicated by vertical lines in the margins near the sections changed. The changes to the plan reflect the following areas:
Pages 6-6, 6 References to specific buildings on the Denver Federal Center that are occupied by the USGS were removed since this changes over time and has no relationship'to the security of the reactor facility.
Pages 6-11, 6 References to a reactor receptionist were removed since this position no longer exists at the facility.
Page 6 The visitor access examples were changed to indicate that janitorial staff are no longer classified as personnel who are allowed unescorted access within the protected area. The janitors now require escorts at all times within the facility.
