C. 20545 Subj ect : Amendment to Reactor License R-ll3 - Request for Additional Information in reply to your request of February 9, 1979. the following information is submitted for your consideration.
- 1) The maximum amounts of SNM and types.
a) 5 kg U-235
- 2) The enrichment of each item in no. 1.
a) 5 kg 20% (fuel elements) b)
<l5 g 93t (fission chambers)
- 3) <5 kg U-235 exempt under 10 CFR 73.6 (a) and/or (b)
- 4) 515 g U-235 nonexempt During the telephone conservation of January 26, 1979, Mr. Vissing of your organization requested information on fuel storage capabilities of our facility. We have three (3) in pool storage racks.
Each in pool rack is designed to hold ten (10) elements in a single-row geometry.
In addition, there are five (5) dry storage wells in the floor of the reactor focm.
Each well consists of a 10-inch 1.D. organic coated steel pipe - 12 feet in length and is fitted with a lockable cover.
