ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO. 8 TO FACILITY LICENSE NO. R-113 -
UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY TRIGA REACTOR (TAC NO. M87035)
Dear Dr. Fouch:
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 8 to Facility License No. R-113 for the United States Geological Survey TRIGA Reactor. The amendment consists of changes to the technical specifications in response to your submittal of May 5,1993, as supplemented on February 23 and August 17,1995, and July 16 and November 4,1997.
The amendment allows the use of TRIGA fuelin the reactor core with uranium loadings of up to 12 weight percent.
A copy of the safety evaluation supporting Amendment No. 8 is also enclosed.
