NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE NOVEMBER 1986 November 1 The Station was in Operational Mode 1 with reactor through power at a nominal 100 percent and the Reactor November 5 Coolant System at a normal operating pressure and tempe ra ture.

November 6 At 0851 hours0.00985 days <br />0.236 hours <br />0.00141 weeks <br />3.238055e-4 months <br /> on the 6th, a power reduction to through approximately 25 percent begun as a result of a November 8 leak on " A" Main Feedwater line. Repairs were completed at 1230 hours0.0142 days <br />0.342 hours <br />0.00203 weeks <br />4.68015e-4 months <br /> on the 8th and power ascension to a nominal 100 percent was subsequently begun.

November 9 The Station was in Operational Mode 1 with reactor through power at a nominal 100 percent and the Reactor Coolant November 16 System at a normal operating pressure and temperature.

November 17 At 1200 hours0.0139 days <br />0.333 hours <br />0.00198 weeks <br />4.566e-4 months <br /> during the performance of the Partial Rod Movement Operation Surveillance Test, the Rod Position Indicator fo r control rod D4 failed to respond. By 1525 hours0.0177 days <br />0.424 hours <br />0.00252 weeks <br />5.802625e-4 months <br /> the Rod Position Indicator had been recalibrated. At 1545 hours0.0179 days <br />0.429 hours <br />0.00255 weeks <br />5.878725e-4 months <br />, following the successful completion of the Partial Rod Movement Operation Surveillance Test, the Rod Position Indica to r for control rod D4 was returned to se rv ice. Power level remained at a nominal 100 percent throughout the day.

November 18 The Station was in Operational Mode 1 with reactor through power at a nominal 100 percent and the Reactor Coolant November 30 System at a normal operating pressure and temperature.

These hours were incorrectly reported in the September 1986 report as Forced Outage hours.
