MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE j
UNIT 1 JUNE 1995 t
June 1 The Unit operated at a nominal value of 100% output.
June 2 The Unit continued to operate at a nominal value of 100%
output, however, at 1430 hours0.0166 days
0.397 hours
0.00236 weeks
5.44115e-4 months
the main unit turbine controls automatically transferred from a partial arc to. a full arc admission mode resulting in the loss of approximately 30 MWe.
Following initial - troub eshooting, the controls were ' returned to the partial are mode at 1536 hours0.0178 days
0.427 hours
0.00254 weeks
5.84448e-4 months
and the 30 MWe were recovered.
June 3 The Unit continued to operate at a nominal value of 100%
output, however, at 0829 hours0.00959 days
0.23 hours
0.00137 weeks
3.154345e-4 months
the above transfer automatically occurred again resulting in a loss of approximately 30 MWe.
The #2 Mam Turbine Governor Valve was suspected as the cause for the auto-transfers.
At 1419 hours0.0164 days
0.394 hours
0.00235 weeks
5.399295e-4 months
output was reduced to approximately 95% in order to troubleshoot the #2 Governor Valve.
The initial investigation revealed no problems with the
- 2 Governor Valve.
At 1810 hours0.0209 days
0.503 hours
0.00299 weeks
6.88705e-4 months
, the turbine controls were returned to the partial arc mode and output was increased to a nominal value of 100%.
June 4 The Unit continued to operate at a nominal value of 100%
output, however, at 1802 hours0.0209 days
0.501 hours
0.00298 weeks
6.85661e-4 months
the above transfer automatically occurred again resulting in a loss of approximately 30 MWe.
The Unit was left in the full arc admission mode to avoid further transients.
June 5 The Unit continued to operate in the full arc admission mode at a nominal value of 100% output, but with a loss of i
approximately 30 MWe due to problems with the #2 Governor Valve controls.
June 6 At 1211 hours0.014 days
0.336 hours
0.002 weeks
4.607855e-4 months
, output was reduced to approximately 98% to support closing' the #2 Governor Valve for troubleshooting and repair.
June 7 The Unit continued to operate at approximately 98% output for troubleshooting and repair of the #2 Governor Valve controls.
+
June 8 Following repair of the #2 Governor Valve controls, turbine controls were returned to the partial are mode and output was returned to a nominal value of 100% at 2100 hours0.0243 days
0.583 hours
0.00347 weeks
7.9905e-4 months
.
June 9 The Unit operated at a nominal value of 100% output.
