( H pressure can be reduced to 10 PSIG while generator is slowing dow11)

o PRZR LEVEL MAY BE LOST AND REACTOR VESSEL UPPER HEAD VOIDING MAY OCCUR DUE TO DEPRESSURIZATION OF SG(s). DEPRESSURIZATION SHOULD NOT BE STOPPED TO PREVENT THESE OCCURRENCES.

16 DEPRESSURIZE INTACT SG(s)

TO 260 PSIO:

a. Check SG wide range levels -
a. Perform the following:

AT LEAST ONE SG GREATER WAN 63 %

1. Maintain maximum AFW flow (67 % FOR ADVERSE until at least one SG wide range CONTAINMENT) levelis greater than 63 %

(67 % for adverse containment).

2. Continue with Step 17, WHEN wide range levelin at least one SG is greater than 63 %

(67 % for adverse containment),

THEN do Steps 16 b, c, d and e.

b. Ixcally dump steam at maximum rate using the following:

o Both AUX feedwaterpumps o Open steam line trip valve bypass valves and steam supply valves to Hog Jets

  • o Perform the following to use the atmospheric vent valve:
1. Isolate and disconnect control air at the atmospheric vent valve
2. Connect a pressurized nitrogen supply with regulator to the atmospheric vent valve
3. Iocally open atmospheric vent valve *1
c. Check RCS cold leg temperatures -
c. Control AUX feedwater flow and GREATER WAN 261' F steam bleed to stop SG

( 266' F FOR ADVERSE depressurization anc allow RCS to CONTAINMENT) heat up.
