PURPOSE This procedure provides actions to add negative reactivity to a core which is observed to be critical when expected to be shutdown.

SYMPTOMS OR ENTRY CONDITIONS This procedure is entered from:

1 VERIFY REACFOR TRIP:
- a. Push reactor trip button
- b. Check the following:

All rod bottom lights - LIT o De-energize 480 V buses 4 and 7, by performing the following:
- 1. Open 480 V bus supply breakers 4841 and 4971.
- 2. Check open 480 V tie breakers 4T5 and 671.
2 VERIFY TURBINE TRIP:
- a. Push turbine tria button
- b. Check both tur sine trip valves -
- b. Manually run back turbine.
CLOSED IE turbine can b'QIbe run back.
THEN close all four main steam line trip valves.
3 VERIFY FW PUMP RUNNING:
- a. Check at least one main feedwater
- a. Check AUTO AUX feedwater pump - RUNNING actuated.
IE b'QI actuated.
THEN manually stan auxiliary feedwater pumps.
- b. Open all four feedwater bypass valves
- c. Establish total auxiliary feedwater flow greater than 640 GPM Page 2 of 7

- 3. Close MCC supply breakers as necessary
- 4. Stan service water and component cooling water pumps as necessary
