ISOLATION I

A. PURPOSE This procedure provides actions to identify and isolate a faulted steam generator.

B. SYMPTOMS OR ENTRY CONDITIONS This procedure is entered from:

1. E.0, REACTOR TRIP OR SAFETY INJECTION, Step 21 with the following symptoms: 1 I
a. Any SG pressure decreasing in an uncontrolled manner.
b. Any SG completely depressurized.
2. E 1, LOSS OF REACTOR OR SECONDARY COOLANT, Step 2, E-3, STE AM GENERATOR TUBE RUlrrURE, Step 6, ECA-3.1, SGTR WITH LOSS OF REACTOR COOLANT - SUBCOOLED RECOVERY DESIRED, Step 7, ECA 3.2, SGTR WITH LOSS OF REACTOR COOLANT - S ATURATED RECOVERY DESIRED, Step 3, with the following symptoms and/or conditions:
a. Any SG pressure decreasing in an uncontrolled manner,
b. Any SG completely depressurized.
c. Faulted SG isolation not verified.
3. FR H.5, RESPONSE TO STEAM GENERATOR LOW LEVEL, Step 3, when the affected SG is identified a: faulted.
4. Other pro.Jurcs whenever a faulted 30 is identified.

o ANY FAULTED SG OR SECONDARY BREAK SHOULD REMAIN ISOLATED DURING SUBSEQUENT RECOVERY ACTIONS UNLESS NEEDED FOR RCS COOIDOWN.

L J 1 CliECK MAIN STEAMLINE ISOLATION MANUALLY CLOSE VALVES AND BYPASS VALVES OF AFFECED SG(s) CLOSED 2 CHECK FOR AT LEAST ONE INTACT SG:

a. Check pressures in all SGs - a. IE all SG pressures decreashg in an ANY STABLE OR INCREASING uncontrolled manner, THEN GD IQ ECA-2.1, UNCONTROLLED DEPRESSURIZATION OF ALL STEAM GENERATORS, Step 1.
3. IDENTIFY FAULTED SG(s):
a. Check pressures in all SGs - a. QQ IQ Step 5, Ab'R search for initiating break:

o ANY DECREASING IN AN UNCONTROLLED MANNER o Main steamlines o Main feedlines l .QR o Other secondary piping o ANY COMPLETELY DEPRESSURIZED l
