I COMPLETE LOSS OF CONDENSER VACUUM glha,tb. %

'a pe v na up 1.0 DISCUSSION 1.1 Although protection of the secondary plant equipment is of concern.

prime attention must be directed to providing for adequate heat removal from the reactor coolant system.

1.2 A complete loss of esin condenser vacuum, is defined as the condenser vacuum at or below the turbine low vacuum trip of (21.5" Hg) 2.0 SYMPTOMS Decreasing condenser vacuum.i 7.1 2.2 Turbine and reactor trip.

2.3 Absence or loss of steam dump after reactor trip caused by low vacuum blocking of actuation signal.

2.4 Possible actuation of pressurizer power operated relief valves and code safey valves.

2.5 Actuation of steam generator safety valves.

3.0 AUTOMATIC ACTIONS 3.1 Turbine and reactor trip on low vacuum at 21.5 in. Hg.

If power less than 101, reactor will not trip.

3.2 Actuation of steam generator safety valves at 985 psig.

4.0 IM EDIATE OPERATOR ACTION 4.1 Perform imediate actions contained in E-0, Reactor Trip or Safety Injection, if not done, rb 9810240465 881007 Page 1 of 2 PDR ADOCK 05000213 P
