lube oil is the lubricate for various equipment. EDGs is a prime example.
Lube oil is the liquid but there is a series of equipment to pump it to the right places, hold tank, valves, and instruments to monitor level, pressure, and temperature. There may also be a parallel lube oil cooling and warming system.
