SUBJECT:

In the Matter of Application of Texas Utilities Generating Company, et al . for An Operating License for Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station Units #1 and #2 (CPSES)

Docket Nos. 50-445 and 50-446 Extension of Time for Responding to Board's 12/28/83 Memorandum and Order (Scheduling Matters)

Judge Bloch has asked that I memoralize a conversation which occurred on Monday, January 2,1984, between Judge Bloch and Mrs. Ellis, CASE's represen-tative in these proceedings. Mrs. Ellis sought an extension of time for re-sponding to portions of subject Board order, due to the death of her husband's mother last Friday, December 30, 1983.

Judge Bloch granted CASE's request for an extension of time in one regard and changed the date for response for all parties in another regard. The following

~

changes have been made for responses to subject order:

January 9,1984 (instead of January 5,1984) - send by expedited delivery answers to the Board's order for a proposed schedule for the next hearing session, as ordered by the Board in item 6, page 3, of subject order.

10 days from date of additional order from Board on Scheduling Matters, which the Board expects to issue soon, possibly as early as January 3

- send by expedited delivery to Board and all parties, motions for reconsidera-tion of Board Orders on Scheduling As requested by Judge Bloch, Mrs. Ellis will contact all parties by phone today to ailise them of these changes.

Respectfully submitted, NO CNOoh5 CASE (Citizens Association for Sound Energy)
