Tho Kuclear Regulatory Cournission (NRC) received the enclosed Federal Einar-gcticy R:ncge=ent Agency (FEMA) letter dated August 2,1982, which refers to deficiencies in tha stete of erargoney prcparedness around your reactor site at the Indian Point Nuclear Power Station. Enclosed with the FEMA letter is their report dated July 30, 1982, entitled " Interim Findings on the Adequacy of R;diological Ersergency Response Preparation of State and Local Governoonts at tb Indicn Point Nuclear Power Station". This report contains the findings by FE7. during their obscevation of the Emergency Preparedness Exercise on M:rch 3,1932, and their assesmont of the ability of the State of New York cad tha Ceunties of Westchester, Putocm, Rockland and Orange to finpleeent their it.dtological Energency Plans. We consider the offsite deficiencies idantified to apply equally to Units 2 and 3.
