REACTOR DECOMMISSIONING REVIEW ASSISTANCE As Ollie Lynch and Pete Erickson of my staff discussed with you, recently, we will need the assistance of PEICSB, PWR Licensing-8,in the review of fuel hand-ling, health physics and accidents; and of F0B, PWR Licensing-A, in the area of environmental review as shown in the enclosed table. TAC numbers are indicated for Indian Point-1, Fermi 1 and Humboldt Bay, Unit 3. TAC numbers will be obtained for Dresden 1 when we receive its decommissioning plan and for Peach Bottom 1 when we receive a request to extend its possession-only license.

It is my understanding that you have agreed to provide the technical review support effort in the time frame indicated in the table. Copies of the Indian Point-1 decommissioning plan have been provided for your staff to initiate their review.
