STAFF REQUIREMENTS - EMERGENCY NIGHTTIME ALERTING The staff is requested to provide a point-by-point response to the generic safety concerns outlined in a May 16, 1986 letter from the Shearon Harris Licensing Board (Attachment 1) and recommendations on whether Commission rules or guidance documents need revision or clarification.

6 The staff is also requested to provide a response to the Commission to the June 9, and July 10, 1986 letters from members of the Indian Point Licensing Board (Attachment 2), which raised a related concern regarding the adequacy of alert systems during stormy winter nights.
