Dear Mr. Miller:
Massachusetts Institute of Technology in its letter of March 19, 1982 to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission submitted its request for a waiver from MIT Research Reactor Technical Specification 5.2-1 and indicated its intent to submit later an application for an amendment to that specification.
In order to assist the Commission in its review of the above request, MIT is providing herewith a draft of a revised Technical Specification 5.2-1 and its associated basis.
We shall also be pleased to furnish any further information that the Commission may find helpful in its review.
