Dear Mr. Thomas,

l The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, by your letter of 06/24/83, j

approved the emergency plan of the MIT Nuclear Research Re' actor and requested that (a) its provisions be implemented within 120 days (22 Oct. 1983) and (b) that your of fice be informed by letter of the date on which full implementation was achieved.

The MIT Nuclear Research Reactor, by its letter of 10/05/83 requested an extension in the implementation period of 90 days to 20 Jan. 1984.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the MIT Nuclear Research Reactor has completed full implementation of its emergency plan.
