Amendment Request and SAR Revision No. 37, Facility License No. R-37, Docket 50-20.
Gentlemen:
Massachusetts Institute of Technology submitted an amendment request to Facility License No. R-37, Docket 50-20 on 13 February 1989.
That request was entitled " Revision to MITR Technical Specifi-cation #3.11.2(e) concerning the Fission Density Limit".
Also submit-ted at that time was SAR Revision No. 37.
The safety analysis submittted by MIT in support of this amend-ment contained a copy of an article entitled, " Development and Irradi-ation Performance of Uranium Aluminide Fuels in Test Reactors" which was published in Nuclear Technology, Vol. 49, p 136.
Subsequent to our submission, we were informed by the Proj ect Manager of the Standardization and Non-Power Reactor Proj ect Directorate that the Document Control Desk was requiring a copyright release on the afore-said article even though that article was prepared at government expense and reported research funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
Accordingly, enclosed please find a copyright release from the pub-lisher, the American Nuclear Society.
This release stipulates four conditions. Please note that these are satisfied as follows:
1.
Also enclosed is a letter from the only author still at EG&G Idaho giving permission for use of the article.
2.
There are no excerpts from the article.
It is used in its entirety.
3.
Both the names of the authors and Nuclear Technology appear on the first page of the article.
4.
ANS copyright is indicated in the lower right corner of the
[0E article.
