As part of our ongoing use of NUREG-15T7 in pieparing relicensing documentation for the MITR, we would like to take' this opportunity to comment on the layom of Chap:cr 7 "Icstrumentr. tion and Conto! Systerm".

In its current layout, Chapter 7 requires discussion of spccific aspects of a system several different times titroughout tbc chapter. For example, a nuclear instrumentation safety sy. stem wculd have to be Jiscussed at least six sepr ate times in Chapter 7 (Section 7.1, 7.2.1, 7.2.2, 7.2.3, 7.2.4, rad 7.4).

It would seem less repetitive to discuss all aspects of a specific system in one location in the chapter, and have separate sections for each instrumentation and controls system. Would it be acceptable to do this?

Tlumt you for the opportunity to comment.
