The Massachusetts Institute of Techneiogy submits herewith three copics of Revision No. 40 to the " Safety Analysis Report for the MIT Research Reactor (MITR-II)",
Report No. MITNE-115 (October 22,1970), as amended.
The revision affects the " Physical Security Plan for the MIT Research Facility",
Appendix 13B to the above SAR, and contains Safeguards Information requiring protection, pursuant to the requirement of 10 CFR 73.21.

enclosed Physical Security Plan revisions. The changes have been approved by the MIT Reactor Safeguards Committee.
