Dear Mr. Schwencer:

In the Matter of the Application of ) Docket Nos. 50-327 Tennessee Valley Authority ) 50-328 In your letter to TVA dated March 24, 1980, L. S. Rubenstein requested additional information on the Process Control Program for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant. On April 22, 1980, I responded to Mr. Rubenstein and provided a copy of TVA's ECOPAC Solidification System, Process Control Program (PCP). Enclosed for your review are five copies of Revision 4 of the PCP.

As requested by your staff reviewer, J. Boegli, TVA conducted a demon-stration of the solidification system today. The solidification system successfully met all NRC and TVA criteria for readiness to process radioactive wastes. The solidifying agent was urea-formaldehyde resin with phosphoric acid as the catalyst. The demonstration of transport-ability is anticipated to be conducted today.

Very truly yours, TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY L. M. Mills, ager Nuclear Regulation and Safety Enclosure (5)
