OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION April 17, 2012 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC or the applicant) held a telephone conference call on April 17, 2012, to discuss and clarify the following response to requests for additional information (RAls) concerning the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station license renewal application (LRA).

3/912012 Abandoned equipment Response to RAI Discussion:

The staff stated that on revised drawing LR-M012E (the revised drawing for the abandoned intake crib air bubbler compressors), there is now a highlighted continuation to drawing LR-M010A. The staff stated that drawing LR-M010A was not included with the revised drawing submitted on the March 9, 2012, RAI response and neither found on the original drawings submitted with the LRA. The staff asked the applicant if drawing LR-M010A has been previously submitted and if there have been any changes made to it in response to the abandoned equipment RAI. The applicant stated that drawing LR-M010A was submitted in an RAI response letter dated April 29, 2012, and that no changes needed to be made to the drawing in response to the abandoned equipment RAI.

The staff stated that no additional information was required.

There was no further discussion and the call was concluded.
