OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON APRIL 28, 2004, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY (TVA) CONCERNING ACTIVITIES ON BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1, 2 AND 3, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (TAC NOS. MC1704, MC1705 AND MC1706)

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff and representatives of TVA (the applicant) held a telephone conference call on April 28, 2004, regarding the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant Units 1, 2 and 3 (BFN) license renewal application. The participants discussed the schedule for the NRCs audit of the applicants aging management reviews and programs for consistency with the NUREG 1801, Generic Aging, Lessons Learned (GALL) Report and/or previously approved staff positions. This schedule was included in the BFN license renewal application review schedule that was transmitted to the applicant on March 31, 2004.

The NRC staff provided clarifications on the timing and duration of the proposed audits. No staff decisions were made during the telephone conference call. The enclosure provides a listing of the telephone conference call participants. The applicant has had an opportunity to comment on this summary.
