OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE HELD ON APRIL 21, 2004, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY CONCERNING ACTIVITIES ON BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1, 2 AND 3, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (TAC NOS. MC1704, MC1705 AND MC1706)

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and representatives of Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) the applicant held a telephone conference call on April 21, 2004, regarding the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant Units 1, 2 and 3 (BFN) license renewal application. The discussion was focused on the impact of the extended lay up of BFN Unit 1 on Unit 1 systems. The participants discussed how the review of applicants programs such as the Chemistry Control Program, Self Assessment Programs, and One-Time Inspection Program, could be useful for Unit 1 Lay-Up program. No conclusions were made during the conference call. The NRC staff did not make any requests for additional information at this time. No staff decisions were made during the telephone conference.

The NRC participants were Jimi Yerokun and Yoira Diaz-Sanabria. The TVA participants were Gary Adkins and George Morrison.
